I came to Zermatt is 2000, after graduating from Edinburgh University, on the recommendation of my great friend (and now husband Henry). I loved my first season but headed home to the job I had lined up in investment banking.
Despite trying to ignore it and to knuckle down with ‘real life’, the mountains were well as truly calling and I was drawn back to the Alps. We set up Summit in 2004 and Zermatt became home. I achieved the highest qualifications holding both the BASI Level 4 ISTD and the Swiss Brevet. In the years around my sons being born, I moved from full time teaching to working in the office…. now I do both and am lucky to have such a great mix of work.
Whether you speak to me when you are booking at lesson at Summit or meet me as your ski teacher, I’m looking forward to introducing you to Summit and Zermatt.

As one of the owners of Summit, I am still fully immersed in Summit during the summer months doing lots of the back office stuff. When I’m not in the office, I try and spend as much time as possible outside with friends and family.
Try and explore the full area, rather than get stuck on just a few runs. Even in the busy weeks, if you head the furthest left of the furthest right on the piste map you will always find some quite slopes.
Hmmmm…
