PRIVATE SKI LESSONS

Private ski lessons in Zermatt, built around you. Whether you’re finding your feet or chasing the best snow on the hill, you, your instructor and a day that goes exactly the way you want it to.

WHY PRIVATE SKI LESSONS?

Book a private lesson and you get one of our instructors to yourself, or to share with whoever you’re skiing with. No fixed syllabus, no group to keep up with. You tell us what you want from the lesson, and we build it around that.

Some people want to refine their technique, fix something that’s been nagging for years, finally feel comfortable on steeper ground. Others just want a local who knows Zermatt to show them the runs worth skiing, where the snow’s best, and which lift to avoid when it’s busy. Most days are a bit of both.

All of it is up to you.

New to it skiing?

Never clipped into skis before, or getting the kids going for the first time? Our instructors love introducing people to the sport, pretty soon you’ll be hooked. Half days suit young children well, and going private means the pace is entirely theirs. Nobody’s being rushed, and nobody’s being held back.

Already a skier?

We believe there’s always more to learn, how ever long you’ve been skiing. If it’s something technical holding you back we have experienced L4’s and examiners to refine your technique. If you get nervous when it’s busy or slushy, steep or icy we have the someone who can help you through whatever your next skiing hurdle is!

Half day lessons

Our most-booked option. Take the morning to make the most of fresh, quiet pistes and the best light, or head out after lunch to explore. Mornings tend to go first, and for good reason: the snow’s better and the slopes are calmer before the crowd arrives.

Full day lessons

A full day opens up the whole ski area. Perfect your technique, chase the itineraries, ski over the border for lunch in Italy, or all of it. Our No Limit day is exactly what it sounds like: you choose when you start and finish, and you can ski until the lifts close. It’s the one for people who don’t want the day to end.

why book with summit?

There are lots of ski schools in Zermatt to choose from, here’s why we think you should book with us.

No hidden extra costs

Most schools add a supplement once there’s more than two of you with an instructor. We don’t. You pay for the instructor’s time, not per head, so bring the family or a group of mates for the same price. If you’re after serious technical changes we’d suggest keeping it to six or fewer, simply so everyone gets enough attention.

Fantastic instructors

The school is built around our team, and a lot of them have been skiing Zermatt with us for years. Plenty of our clients come back and ask for the same person season after season, which tells you more than anything we could write here.

Completely flexible

Take an instructor for as long as you like, and meet wherever suits. We usually suggest meeting up on the mountain to make the most of your time, but your hotel, the rental shop or the bottom lift all work fine if that’s easier.

Looking for guided days

Whether it’s on piste or off piste, or a mix of both, if you feel you are are after someone to show you around the mountain, take in the best views, find the longest pistes and enjoy everything Zermatt has to offer without having to worry about which turn to take, then check out our guiding options.

On piste guiding

Having one of our team to show you around the mountain takes all the hassle out of your day. We can meet you at the hotel, tour the ski area, stop for coffee with a view you wont forget, reserve the best lunch spots before making the most of the the day with a few more runs and heading back to town.

Off piste guiding

Zermatt has some of the best off-piste in the Alps, and if that’s what you’re after, just ask. Some of our team are qualified to take you off the pistes, and Erica will pair you with the right instructor for your level and the day’s conditions. It’s worth getting in touch ahead of time so we can plan it properly.

Ready when you are.

Book direct online, or send us a note if you'd rather talk it through first.
