A pre winter course to improve your skiing or prepare for your first instructor exam
Improving your technique and adapting your skills to confidently ski all terrain.
Make the move off piste. Learn the ski techniques as well as avalanche safety basics.
The Zermatt glacier is the best pre-season skiing destination in Europe, and for good reason. This high-altitude, north-facing glacier boasts a fantastic lift system, allowing for ample skiing opportunities. It’s the perfect environment to get some early-season training in, whether you’re preparing for an instructor exam or looking to tweak your technique and create a solid plan for the season ahead.
After a long day on the slopes, there’s nothing quite like relaxing with a cold beer and reviewing the day’s video footage with your Summit coach and the rest of the group.
Our program runs five days on the mountain, with 5 hours of on-snow training each day. You’ll meet your coach and course mates the night before the course to discuss the week ahead and any goals we’re aiming to achieve.
We’ll use feedback and drills on the hill as well as off snow video analysis to make sure you understand what you’re doing right and wrong. Your coach will work with you to fine-tune your technique and help you understand how to make changes.
Join us for a fun and focused course to really kickstart your winter. This course is perfect for good skiers who want to get better and anyone looking to take their first instructor exams.

Join us on these weeks and take your skiing to the next level. Our program is designed to help you improve your skiing technique on the piste and beyond, so you can comfortably ski anywhere on the mountain.
We understand that with so many immaculately maintained pistes these days, it can be difficult to know where to take your skiing and how to improve. That’s why our program focuses on not only improving your piste skiing, but also your technique in different terrains. This includes skiing bumps, dealing with steeper terrain, or really icy conditions.
Our expert instructors will guide you through technical progressions, providing personalised instruction and feedback to help you develop your skills. By the end of the week, you’ll have more ability to ski challenging terrain, and will have the confidence to explore more of the mountain.

The journey to skiing bottomless powder like in the ski movies can be a long and challenging one, but it is also an incredibly rewarding experience. Along the way, you will encounter highs and lows, moments of triumph and moments of frustration. Your Summit coach will use the right terrain, give you the right skills, and help with your mental approach to make this journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Whilst the journey is dependent on improving your technique and tactics skiing variable snow, equally important is developing a solid understanding of avalanche safety practices. Choosing safe lines, appropriate skiing styles for the level of risk or knowing and practising how your transceiver works are all important factors that will be covered during this week.
Finally, having the right skis for the conditions will make life so much easier. Your coach will be in touch before the course starts to discuss the kit you have and need, or help point you in the right direction for renting.
