Skiing has been a great part of my life, with so much family fun spent in the Italian, French and Swiss Alps! I’m dual nationality (Scottish/Kiwi) with roots in both and began skiing at a young age in New Zealand.
We moved to a farm in Scotland which fuelled my love for nature, animals and being outdoors. I studied agriculture on leaving school and enjoyed playing rugby, but have traded the fields for the slopes!
In 2019, my passion for skiing led me back to Italy and Switzerland to train as a ski instructor. I’ve just returned from my second winter season instructing in NZ at Coronet Peak & the Remarkables. I loved every minute with all ages and skill levels, guiding them towards their skiing aspirations. I get so much energy from my time in the mountains.
It’s awesome to be back in Europe and I can’t think of a better place to ski than here in Zermatt with the backdrop of the beautiful Swiss landscape. I enjoy meeting and spending time with new people and am here to ensure your skiing experience is the best, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned skier. Like my days spent hiking in NZ or Scotland, skiing isn’t just a sport, but a brilliant way to connect with nature and one another.

Ski
I have been in a winter loop for the last couple years, skiing in both Northern and Southern hemisphere. However previous to this I’ve worked as a lifeguard, but also had a mixture of jobs including in a gin distillery, vineyard, forestry and working at home on the farm. I love to be active, mountain and trail biking, hiking and catching up with family and friends.
My top tip for anyone travelling to Zermatt is fairly simple. I’d say pack it all in! Whether that’s by hitting the pristine slopes for some epic skiing, or by exploring its quaint streets and indulging in delectable Swiss cuisine. Or how about take a scenic journey on the Gornergrat Railway to witness breath taking panoramic views. Exploring the vibrant après-ski scene is a sure fire way to end the day on a high!
If I wasn’t a Summit Instructor I’d love to be on an exploration expedition through Africa.
