Rob Greatbach

Skiing is a huge passion of mine. I have been skiing since the age of 4 and it has had the most positive impact on my life. I now love nothing more than sharing that passion with my clients.

Skiing is a fantastic sport as it can be whatever you want it to be from skiing the steepest, deepest powder off Rote Nase to long sunny lunches in Italy and everything in between. The freedom it gives you to expresses yourself, explore and experience new things is very powerful.

The better you get the more free to experience the mountains you become. Being a ski instructor I am in an incredibly fortunate position that enables me to help my clients have some incredible experience. Over my career I have had some unforgettable moments and every winter is a chance to make more special memories.

In the summer

I support Wolves and England and like to attend as many matches as possible. I enjoy trail running and spending as much time in the mountains as my work as an Optician allows

My Zermatt insider tip is:

Taking the 1st lift to Klein Matterhorn and skiing the biggest Vertical drop in the Alps (2359m) all the way to Valtournenche for a well deserved Italian coffee I a great way to start your day!

If I wasn't a Summit instructor:

If I wasn’t a ski instructor I would love to be a mountain guide

3 reasons to ski with me:

1. Skiing I my great passion in life. Being able to share it with others is a privilege.

2. I have been skiing in Zermatt for 24 years. I know all the best secret spots.

3. The best skier is the one having the most fun. The better you are the more fun you will have.
