We will store all information gathered securely, we will not sell it or pass it on and will include the option to opt out of all marketing communications at any time.

  • Client contact information is held to allow us to reply to your enquiries, to get in touch regarding your lessons and to request feedback about our school.
  • Any relevant client data (name, age, level and discipline) is given to the instructor to enable them to deliver your lesson effectively.
  • We maintain records of your past lesson history, which instructor you skied/snowboarded with, so the booking process can be more efficient if you return and ski/snowboard with us again.
  • We may use your personal details to contact you with updates about Summit, along with Zermatt related marketing content that we believe may be of interest to you. If you wish to opt out of receiving marketing content, you can follow the “unsubscribe” instructions provided alongside any correspondence from us.
  • We may use a combination of identifying and non-identifying information to understand who our visitors are, how they use our services, and how we may improve their experience of our website and business in the future.

We collect information in the following ways:

  • When you visit our website, using analytics cookies.
  • When you enquire or book (direct online, on the phone, via email, or in person).
  • From third parties such as tour operators, agents, tourist office.
  • When you talk to us on the phone or in person.
  • During your lesson.

While we retain this data, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. If you request your personal information be deleted, or where your personal information becomes no longer relevant to our operations, we will erase it from our system within a reasonable timeframe.

Marketing communications

Unless you have chosen to opt out from marketing communications we will contact you by email, it will be around once a month and contain information and news about Summit and Zermatt. The option to opt out will be provided in all marketing emails. Regardless of whether you choose to receive marketing communications or not we will still send you a booking confirmation via email. This will contain all the information necessary to meet your instructor.

Security

We never store card details. All credit card information is processed by our credit card company. You can read more about their policies here. If you book online only your contact information, relevant personal information and lesson details are stored securely.

Limits of our policy

This privacy policy only covers Summit Ski & Snowboard School AG’s own collecting and handling of data. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for our affiliates’ and third-party providers’ respective privacy practices.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and policies of those sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

At our discretion, we may change our privacy policy to reflect current acceptable practices. We will take reasonable steps to let users know about changes via our website.
