Ross Murdoch

Being planted on skis annually from 18 months old left me little choice in my addiction for the slopes. After dabbling in some amateur racing I decided that I had a long way to go before I could be satisfied. This drove me to take my BASI L1 and 2 exams for personal development. Little did I know at the time that this would lead me to a year of ski instructing in London during my Masters degree.

Having finished my latest degree I decided the best way to celebrate would be a season in one of the best resorts in the world. I love working with clients that want the best out of their skiing. From exploring the resort to working on technique (to look better, go faster and ski harder while exploring, of course).

In the summer

No two summers are the same for me. In the last three I undertook flying training with the RAF (On a University Air Squadron), learned to spearfish and completed my masters thesis.

If I wasn't a Summit instructor:

I have always considered a career in the Armed Forces – I also love flying so training to be a pilot could be exciting.

3 reasons to ski with me:

1. I have a wide range of experience working with different types clients. From those that want to dive deep into technique to those that want to build their confidence skiing.

2. I love every part of the mountain, from the blues to the yellows and from the first-last lift to après ski. Whatever you’re way to enjoy a ski holiday is, I’m onboard.

3. If you like to push your skills to the limit, I do too. If you’re giving it your all, I am too.
