Jenny Eriksson

I was born with skis on my feet, quite literally. I grew up in a small Swedish village called Åsarna, where both downhill skiing and cross-country skiing were a natural part of everyday life.

My first time “skiing” was actually before I could even walk. As a child I competed in cross-country skiing and biathlon, but weekends and school holidays always meant heading to the slopes. In my teens my passion for alpine skiing really took off.

After finishing high school, where I qualified as a Personal Trainer, I enrolled in a full-year vocational ski instructor programme. Since completing that in 2023, I have been teaching in Åre, Sweden, and during the summers in New Zealand. I love seeing people grow in confidence and discover what they are capable of. Right now, I’m working towards the Swedish national ski instructor exams, constantly pushing myself to improve so I can give you the best possible lesson. I can’t wait to be part of your journey on the mountain!

In the summer

Since instructing is the best job in the world, I follow the winter. Last summer I taught skiing in New Zealand, and I’m excited for the next adventure.

If I wasn't a Summit instructor:

I’d either return to personal training or become a teacher. I love helping people and to see them improve, no matter the environment.

3 reasons to ski with me:

1. Encouraging and safe learning environment: I take great pride in creating an atmosphere where you feel confident, not only in your skiing, but in yourself. I stay calm, patient and always let you set the pace of the lesson. My goal is that you feel supported, safe, and excited to try new things.

2. Technique made simple: With a solid education in movement and body mechanics, I understand how we move, not just what to do. I break complex techniques into clear, easy-to-understand steps and tailor everything to your body, your goals and your learning style.

3. Your win is my win: I genuinely love seeing people succeed, whether it’s your very first turn on a green run or refining technique on steeper terrain. I meet you exactly where you are and tailor the lesson to you. We’ll learn, push boundaries and have fun doing it, with clear feedback, positive energy and lots of encouragement. No matter your age, level or experience, you’re welcome in my lessons.
