Edward Fagerström

I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden and fell in love with skiing at a young age during our trips up north to the mountains. I was quickly introduced to ski racing, which I pursued for about 10 years. During these years I worked hard to improve my technique and learn the dynamics of the sport. When I eventually stepped away from the racing scene, my love and passion for skiing and the mountains only grew stronger.

I love all aspects of skiing, whether it’s hunting fresh tracks on a powder morning, taking in the beautiful mountain landscape while touring, or simply carving out full turns on a newly groomed slope. Sharing this passion with other people and seeing them improve their skiing is something that drives me, so getting to spend my winters as a ski instructor really is a dream!

In the summer

During my summers I enjoy the warm weather and the bright summer days and nights in Sweden. I love spending time at my family’s country house just catching up, wakeboarding, taking a sauna and enjoying the company. Going to football games with family and friends has also always been a big part of my life during the summers.

My Zermatt insider tip is:
Ski the yellow runs, best runs in the resort and there’s no one on them.
If I wasn't a Summit instructor:

I would have to find another way to allow me to enjoy my winters in the mountains, maybe I would be a liftie!

3 reasons to ski with me:

1. I believe progress comes at your own pace. I am patient in my teaching to ensure you a stress-free environment where you can learn, ask questions, and build confidence without feeling rushed. I’m here to support you every step of the way.

2. My 10 years of racing experience has taught me a lot about both the basics and the complex aspect of technique. Whether you’re looking to improve your carving technique or take your first turns, your lessons with me will be tailored to your needs.

3. Skiing is not just about our turns and our technique, it’s about having fun and enjoying ourselves up on the mountain. Sometimes we just want to have a nice chat in the lift or someone to show us where the best tracks are, and that someone is me!
